Welding rod from Polyethylen (medium density), PE-MD or MDPE
Polyethylene belongs to the group of polyolefins. It is the most commonly used plastic in the world. MDPE covers the density range between LDPE and HDPE with 0.925 -0.94 g/cm³. MDPE is slightly softer than HDPE and therefore more ductile.
To join PE parts, they are welded together, since they cannot be glued or printed without pretreatment. All common welding devices such as hot air blowers or blowers, an Injectiweld or welding extruder are suitable for this purpose.
